The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI), a global organization dedicated to the development of professionals in the hospitality industry, is celebrating two years of activity in Latin America, strengthening its presence and impact in the markets of Chile, Colombia, Peru, and Mexico. Its mission is to enhance the skills and performance of sales, marketing, and revenue management professionals in the hotel sector by promoting events, training, and studies that foster networking and professional growth in the region.

Growth and impact in the region
Since its arrival in these countries, HSMAI Latam has organized high-level events, bringing together hundreds of industry professionals. In 2024, its initiatives attracted approximately 750 participants across the four countries, thus consolidating its relevance in the Latin American hotel market. By 2025, it expects to further increase this number and strengthen the exchange of strategic knowledge in the region.
HSMAI Latam projects significant growth in its community of hospitality professionals, consolidating the country as one of the main centers of the industry in Latin America. By strengthening its regional initiatives, Brazil is expected to increase its participation in international events and HSMAI certifications, raising the level of professionalization and innovation in the industry. Furthermore, the organization seeks to foster knowledge exchange among Latin American markets to share and apply best practices in different situations across the continent.

Claudia Delgado, Head of HSMAI Colombia, highlights the importance of professionalization in the sector:
"I hope to contribute my experience to connecting the hotel sector with the entire tourism industry in Colombia. Professionalization and training will be the pillars of our community, and we will work together to achieve international certifications that strengthen the partnership.".
In Peru, lynn mora, Managing Director of HSMAI in the country, also highlights the advances in the hotel and tourism industry:
"Since joining HSMAI in 2023, I've been organizing initiatives to strengthen the sector in the country. Together with the HSMAI Peru team, our goal is to drive the development of the hospitality and tourism industry, generating more growth opportunities for industry professionals.".
For its part, Danilo Toledo, General Manager of Accor Invest and Head of HSMAI in Chile, underlines the importance of regional collaboration:

Events calendar for 2025
HSMAI Latam already has a confirmed schedule for 2025, which will include events and roundtables in all four countries. Among the most notable are:
- ROC (Revenue Optimization Conference): An event focused on strategic pricing insights, data analytics, and distribution in the hospitality industry. It is the leading global conference on Revenue Management, now present in several Latin American countries. It will be held in the first half of the year, between June and July.
- Strategy Conference: Meeting of Sales, Marketing, and Professionals Revenue Management and Distribution, which will address topics such as innovation, trends, technology, and commercial strategy. It will take place in the second half of the year, between October and November.
